Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter “T&Cs”) apply to any contract concluded between the client (hereinafter “the Client”) and Echoes of Japan, based in Switzerland, regarding the provision of a personalized travel itinerary service.
1. Purpose
The service provider offers a personalized travel planning service in the form of a travel booklet, containing suggestions for itineraries, activities, accommodations, and transportation.
The service may also include, upon request, assistance in finding specific information (particularly in Japanese).
The Client is solely responsible for making all actual bookings (accommodation, restaurants, transportation, entrance tickets, etc.). Echoes of Japan does not purchase tickets (e.g., for theme parks, observatories, museums, concerts) or make bookings that involve strict cancellation policies.
2. Order Process
The Client submits a contact form or questionnaire, or gets in touch by email to express their request. A quote is then provided. The order is confirmed only upon acceptance of the quote and partial or full payment, according to the conditions indicated.
3. Pricing and Payment
The provider offers two types of services:
-
Essential Plan: includes the personalized itinerary and booking suggestions (indicative price: CHF 39 per day)
-
Complete Plan: also includes extended support (especially for specific, difficult, or Japanese-language bookings) as well as availability checks at the time of preparing the travel booklet (indicative price: CHF 49 per day)
Payment is made by bank transfer or via an electronic payment solution. The travel booklet is sent only after payment is received.
4. Delivery
The travel booklet is provided in PDF format via email. A printed version is available upon request for an additional fee.
5. No Right of Withdrawal
As this is a personalized service, no withdrawal is possible once the quote is accepted and the order is confirmed. Accordingly, no refunds will be issued once payment has been made.
6. Liability
The service provider acts as a consultant and assistant in planning the trip. In some cases, support may include help in finding information or checking availability, when language or technical conditions justify it.
The Client is solely responsible for finalizing bookings and ensuring their accuracy (especially regarding cancellation policies, local phone number requirements, or specific provider requirements).
The provider accepts no liability in case of cancellations, refusals by providers, or any costs incurred due to a missed or unmade reservation or no-shows.
Likewise, the provider is not responsible for the opening hours or days of establishments, museums, restaurants, or any activity or excursion suggested in the travel booklet. The Client must verify this information before making any bookings.
7. Intellectual Property
All content provided as part of the service (texts, images, maps, documents) is the exclusive property of the provider and is intended for strictly personal use. Any reproduction or distribution without permission is prohibited.
8. Data Protection
The Client’s personal data is collected solely for the purpose of processing the order. It is not shared with third parties and is securely stored in accordance with Swiss data protection law.
9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These T&Cs are subject to Swiss law. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of the canton of Fribourg.
